The Caribbean Regional Compliance Association (CRCA) is pleased to present the 5th Annual Conference 10 & 11, November 2008 in Trinidad & Tobago. The theme for this year’s conference is Confidence in Compliance: The Corporate Advantage in a Changing Market which will cover a variety of topics and initiatives affecting compliance professionals everywhere. We will look at best practices for managing an organization’s overall anti-money laundering programme, discover the latest compliance issues related to outsourcing, look at regulatory changes in a variety of Caribbean jurisdictions and focus on a wide range of topics as they relate to due diligence, corruption and corporate social responsibility. As in previous years, we will also be offering a one day workshop on Communications, Wednesday November 12th. The day will include strategies on sharpening your skills to communicate clearly, think creatively, plan effectively, memorise efficiently and provide techniques to enable delegates to speed read. The conference will be held at the brand new Hyatt Regency Trinidad located ocean front in Port of Spain as part of the dynamic new Waterfront Centre. This world-class business facility boasts an expansive new conference centre—the largest in the English-speaking Caribbean—that will provide delegates with a most memorable conference experience. Careful planning will ensure that first class, state-of- the-art facilities and speaker support accompany quality programming. The programme is developed by a steering committee consisting of representatives from compliance associations of Barbados, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Anguilla, and the British Virgin Islands (BVI) along with local compliance representatives from Trinidad & Tobago. The conference promises to provide delegates with a quality programme of guest lecturers, workshops and panel discussions. Known as a “must attend” for leading compliance practitioners and regulators, the CRCA Annual Conference is fast becoming the benchmark for compliance conferences internationally. Delegates are expected from many of the Caribbean jurisdictions with numbers anticipated to exceed the successful 2006 event in Barbados and 2007 event in Bahamas. We hope that you will join us and continue to look to this conference as your “conference of choice” in your ongoing professional development. On behalf of the 2008 Steering Committee, See you in Trinidad! ![]() Carolyn Hanson - Conference Chair |
