Mary Koon Koon is Chair of the British Virgin Islands Association of Compliance Officers. She has been a compliance practitioner for more than twelve years and has worked in a number of Caribbean Islands. Mary currently holds the position of Compliance Manager with the Equity Trust Group’s, BVI office. Equity Trust is one of the world’s leading trust companies providing offshore financial solutions to high net worth individuals.

Mary has obtained Bachelors and Masters Degrees at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and is completing a further degree at the University of London. She was a representative on the Trinidad and Tobago Bankers’ Association Sub-Committee on Fraud and Money Laundering and is a Member of the International Compliance Association Board of Advisors in the UK. She has held memberships with the Compliance Institute, United Kingdom and the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) USA.
