August Winter is Chair of the Association of Compliance Officers of the Netherlands Antilles and the Chair of the Netherlands Antilles Association of legal practitioners. Both associations have their corporate seat in Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles. He is furthermore a member of the Committee Evaluation Corporate Law of the Netherlands Antilles.
He is a qualified Attorney-at-law in the Netherlands Antilles, registered with the bar of the Netherlands Antilles since 1999. He has worked as an attorney for 5 years at Ernst & Young Law Offices (formally Andersen Legal) and as legal counsel in the trust/offshore practice rendering advice on corporate, financial and compliance matters. He has been working over the past two years as legal counsel/head compliance officer of the SFT Bank N.V., which is affiliated with the Citco Group of Companies.
