Tanya McCartney
Tanya McCartney was appointed CEO of the Bahamas Financial Services Board in December 2015. She is a UK trained barrister, a certified anti-money laundering specialist, compliance professional and chartered banker. Her professional career began in 1997 as Assistant Counsel in The Office of the Attorney General. Since 1999 she has held senior positions in financial services. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Reading (United Kingdom), A Master of Laws degree (merit) in Commercial and Corporate Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science (London, U.K.), an MBA in Leadership from The College of the Bahamas as well as a Chartered Banker MBA (distinction) from the University of Bangor in Wales (United Kingdom). She is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
